It's 6 pm, you're hungry, you're tired and you just want to go homeand kick up your feet, but ahead lies 20 kms of stop and go traffic.

-----------------
Pan Out Now play what they call "recombinant rock" - an intriguing mix of dissonant harmonies, big guitars and cascading piano atop anthemic, driving riffs.
Picture Lacuna Coil meets Queens Of The Stone Age meets A Perfect Circle.
"4/4 time and standard tuning are increasingly stagnant forms in popular music." says singer/guitarist Tim Foley "the complexities of 21st century life are more accurately realized for us through asymmetry and dissonance - which we apply to melody, harmony, and rhythm. I think you've got to keep pushing at those boundaries in order to stay relevant."
This refusal to conform is immediately apparent as the voices of Stephanie Sheri and Foley weave together clear, soaring lines in an energetic disquiet, revealing the craft and honest emotion of the lyrics.
Fans are greatly anticipating their upcoming 4th independent release. With tracks like "So Not The Way' it's clear this band does not shy away from controversy; political, environmental or otherwise.
If their live shows are any indication, this album is sure to provide the rallying cry for disaffected dreamers everywhere.

An excellent album full of great songs!
author: Vladislav Petshnikov
"Strange Tales from the Urban Circle" by Canadian band Pan Out Now (formerly known as iO) is an excellent album full of beautiful melodies and cool, modern sounding grooves and sounds. The production and overall musicianship are very impressive as well.
The majority of the songs feature the voices of both singers, Stephanie Shery and Tim Foley, each of whom is an excellent vocalist on his/her own, though when combined – their voices sound absolutely gorgeous.
If you are familiar with Chroma Key album "Dead Air for Radios" for instance, then you might like to know that quite several songs from STFTUC carry similar mesmerizing, "dark" emotional quality... Pan Out Now seems to be more up-beat though. The arrangements are competent and highly inventive: punchy riffs by distorted guitar, industrial-like synths and sound effects and energetic, rhythmic piano parts are mixed with melodic, hooky vocal lines just perfectly. So if you enjoy high quality pop-rock with a modern flair, "dark" progressive undertones, brilliant arrangements and clever, intelligent songwriting, then you'll enjoy this CD a lot.

DROP DEAD GORGEOUS
