ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is the first album for both JazzWide Records and Paolo Benedettini as band leader. This project starts as an original production of "JazzWide Young Festival" (Pisa, IT).

Despite the long and outstanding career, this is the first time that Benedettini aims to guide an ensemble. In this first project, he tries to summarize the different musical experiences that, over the years, have contributed to the formation of his personal style. Starting with a sound and a concept strongly associated with jazz improvisation of the fifties and sixties, the quartet presents a review of important pieces of African-American musical tradition, combined with original compositions.

Adam Pache - drums
