CrimsonRed; the eclectic collection is a unique mix of today's adult contemporary music and Karin Paparelli's debut album as singer/songwriter. Her vulnerability and depth in songwriting are the result of a young life lived hard and fast. Enduring hardship and loss at a tender age, she spent many years tossed by life's circumstances, before finding hope in the discovery of life's greatest purpose.
As a songwriter, she has authored more than forty songs, several have been released on this recording with others currently in production. Her writing style is unique, yet has a comfortable, reminiscent feel. She has not been limited to a particular genre, but has crossed over into several genre including, jazz, pop, country, soft rock, blues, gospel, swing, and children's music.
As a singer, Karin has a vocal quality and diversity that is timeless. She studied Bell Canto technique with the late, world renown, Maestro Michael Signorelli who taught voice to some of the best in music history. She has phenominal range and vocal variation which is evident as she easily soars into the stratosphere of first sopranos without hindrance, while her lower register retains a husky, breathy quality that adds unusual listening appeal. Karin enjoys live performances best where she can truly express herself through her music, but she says she has also had a great time in the studio working on her own projects as well as contributing to a few "friends" albums.
Crimson Red is sure to please, with a fantastic variety, the album courageously combines soft, soothing ballads with Rock, while Jazz and Country dance cheek to cheek without deviation from the central theme. How does this all come together? Take a listen for yourself.
