ENGLISH

Papas Underground is a Rock band from the Washington D.C. (USA) metropolitan area. Their influences are based on the Old School Garage Classic Rock and The British Invasion Sound with all lyrics in Spanish.

The actual members of the band are: Pachi (Vocals & Bass), Claudio (Drums), Francisco (Guitars), Santy (Rhodes y B3) and Cheeto (Guitars) met at Northern Virginia Community College and together decided to start this journey in the Rock'n'Roll world.

Papas Underground was founded in 2002 and rapidly became one of the most representative Latin Rock bands in the area by playing in every bar or club possible with great acceptance from the public. In 2004 the metropolitan band shares stage with Renown Latino Rock artists such as
Pedro Suarez-Vertiz, Octavia (Coda 3),Ely Guerra, BAron Rojo, Los Amigos Invisibles, among others. Has Participated on the first D.C. Latin Rock Festival 2004 where they had a chance to record the song "The Last Wilbury", for the promotional CD for said Festival. The Album was produced at Nazca Records by Carlos Romero.

In 2005, Papas Underground played at the prestigious Emergenza Festival (The European and North American Festival for up & coming bands). The Metro Latin Rockers of Papas Underground produced their first indie album called "Rollinga Social Club" at VELVET ROYALE RECORDS. The album has 12 songs, including the songs "Otro Joint" (Another Joint), "The Last Wilbury" y "Zanahoria (Carrot)."

Papas Underground es una banda proveniente de el area metropolitana de Washington D.C., Estados Unidos. Su estilo se caracteriza por sus influencias adquiridas de legendarias agrupaciones de "Rock Clasico" de los años "60's y 70's." La banda: Pachi (Voz y Bajo),Claudio (Bateria);Francisco (Guitarra/Slide), Santy (Rhodes y B3); y Cheeto (Guitarra); se conocieron en la universidad y juntos decidieron comenzar este viaje rocanrolero.

Papas Underground, como su nombre lo dice, se desenvuelve muy bien en el mundo del rock "Subterraneo" de D.C., tocando en cualquier rincon con tal de hacer lo que saben hacer: "Rockear" y pasarla bien junto al publico.

Papas Underground se formo en el 2002 y rapidamente se convierte en una de las bandas mas representativas del area metropolitana. En el 2004 la banda capitalina comparte tarima con artistas reconocidos como Pedro Suarez-Vertiz y Octavia (Coda 3) Participan en el Primer D.C. Latin Rock Festival 2004 donde graban la cancion "The Last Wilbury", para el CD promocional de dicho festival. El disco fue Producido en Nazca Records por Carlos Romero. En el 2005, participan en el Emergenza Festival con gran aceptacion por parte del publico, ese mismo año comparten escenario con los nominados al grammy Volumen Cero.

Los Rocanroleros Capitalinos de Papas Underground producieron su primer indie album titulado "Rollinga Social Club" en el VELVET ROYALE RECORDS con muchas expectativas. El disco consta de 12 Temas, incluyendo los temas mas conocidos como "Otro Joint", "The Last Wilbury" y "Zanahoria."
