ROSEPINK is a powerful electronic journey through, I suppose, Japan. The duo exhibit strong, unique vocals and their driving rhythms are infectious and profound. Forget that you don't understand a word of the CD, the beautiful packaging includes lyrics, some in English. Kanaika is a hard-hitting standout track. But my personal favorite, 99 is one of the most bizzarely catchy tunes I've heard this year. Rosepink has an underlying "Nina Hagen-ish vibe," with a Japanese aesthetic.
