Album Notes

This collection of songs marks the end of a musical journey spanning nearly three years. My initial effort, which intended to see through a 4-song e.p., proved to be more a conceptual success than an actual one - each song was eventually scrapped and as 2007 began so, too, did the process of gathering my ideas into a new set of songs that would ultimately form this release.

A mixture of both melodic songwriting and meticulous engineering, First Flight is the culmination of countless hours of creating, recording and mixing these 10 tracks. Most of the album's melodies and words were conceived in the latter half of 2007, while the release was further developed, tweaked and mixed through the better part of this year.

Though this was a solo effort, special thanks are in order to everyone that made this release the best that it could be. Your advice, kind words and support played no small part in seeing First Flight take off. To my family, Sarah Yune, Eugenio Iglesias, Paul Welch, Stephen Marsh and Stephanie Villa at Stephen Marsh Mastering, Rick Santizo, John Scrip, James Meeker and any others I forgot to mention, I thank you all dearly.

And to everyone that enjoys this release, thank you. This record was made to be enjoyed.
