Album Notes

A Connecticut based singer/songwriter and founding member of the acoustic rock band, October Moon, Jim released his first solo album You Are Here in 2003. This CD, described as "Hauntingly meditative", articulates Jim's own life-faith journey with great songs such as "Ring of Fire", "This Man", and "You Are Here". It is an uplifting and spiritual embodiment of Jim's talent that begs to be listened to again and again.
Jim's musical history leading up to this solo accomplishment began during his high school days with bands such as Renfield, a California style vocal rock band. After High School he made a stab at earning a living with The Dogs, New England's answer to British styled rock and roll) It was during his time with this band that songwriting began to pique his interest. In appreciation of excellent songwriting, Jim joined with Gary Burr and Serious Business, showcasing some of Gary's early songwriting (Love's been a Little Bit Hard on Me, Cool Water). Currently, as well as October Moon, Jim plays and sings with Circle of Friends, an innovative acoustic church band with diverse vocal arrangements.
Prior to his current solo work, Jim released three albums with October Moon including Seeing Things Clearer, 1999; Black & White, 2000; and Never Gone, 2001.
Jim writes most of his own music or with the help of long time friend, producer, and fellow October Moon band mate Mark Mirando. His collaboration efforts have also led him to work with the well-known Nashville songwriter Gary Burr.
