Album Notes

Nicole Paradiso's debut album The Fall was produced by Nicole Paradiso and Nic Hard with a little coffee and a lot of gas. Recorded first at Z-Studio in Brooklyn, July 2004, the rhythm tracks were finished with cigarettes, heat, and rain. Nir Z on drums and Andy Hess on Bass. NirZ.com is a place to check out his discography, like playing on John Mayer's Room for Squares. Andy Hess' is currently touring with Government Mule.
So, after Brooklyn, it was out to a studio in Western NJ called Charlestown Road Studio. A big piano. Animals. A pool. August. Nic Hard is a star engineer. You can look for some of his work with the band The Bravery.
Notice, the string sounds are all live thanks to Julia Kent on cello and Claudia Chopek on violin. The cricket sounds are live too.
After that tracking, there was mixing in September at Bushwick Studio in Brooklyn.
Then mastering with Scott Hull at The Hit Factory in NYC. Scott Hull is another amazing technician. A real person, with a great ear and the skill to apply it. His discography is enormous. Just google him to find out.
Photography was done by a couple from the East Village who call themselves Crackerfarm. The graphics and layout for the cd itself and the website were done by JJ Larson. Pressed and packaged through A to Z Music.
That's the story of how the record was made. All songs written by Nicole Paradiso. Listen to it and find out what she has to say.

The Fall is a magnificent eclectic mix of instruments and styles that carry your emotions on an intoxicating roller coaster ride you are not soon to forget. Nicole's voice is as sexy as it is awe-inspiring with storytelling lyrics that beg to be played over and over again. Keep recording Nicole, you certainly have my unwavering support firmly on your side.

The Fall by Nicole Paradiso is clearly a star production that while is great to listen to, does ask a lot of the listener. The more I listen to it, though, the more I enjoy it. It has stay power and continues to hold my interest time and again. The song "Spaces" has radio single potential. Lots of great writing and performing here, and a fantastic and unique voice coming out of that Nicole.

For local support I went to the website - listened to the samples and knew instantly that this is a talented piece enjoyable enough for purchasing. I bought one for me and my wife, my sister in law and mother; they now tell me they enjoy this cd on a regular basis as I do. Keep up the good tunes.. Good Luck with what the future brings.
