Mahavishnu for the New Millennium
author: Jeff Gutenberg
Imagine the Mahavishnu Orchestra with just a smidgeon less chaos and a pinch more groove, and a sax player instead of a violinist, and you've got an inkling as to what this band sounds like. The spectacular compositions, monster chops and very 'live' feel of the recording all combine to make this disc very reminiscent of "The Inner Mounting Flame" and "Birds of Fire" for me. Serious fans of true 70s style jazz-rock fusion need to pick up this disc immediately if not sooner. Two thumbs *way up* for Paragon. I hope to hear a lot more from this band in the future.

author: Christian O'Donnell
Very original, intense, complex but at the same time very accessible. Excellent guitar and the fusion with the sax is quite remarkable. Very refreshing. Very smooth groovy rhythm section. Will definitely present this album to my friends at our next music listening session.

The music is fun, intelligent, and inspiring.
author: Kevin (Paragon fan from San Diego, CA)
I first heard of Paragon from a friend a while back. Since I trust my friend's taste in music I decided to check it out and I'm really glad that I did. It's one of those albums that holds my attention all the way through. The music is fun, intelligent, inspiring and most importantly, from the heart. That's something that can't be faked. This is a dynamic group of players that have a very refreshing sound and I recomend this cd to anyone. There's just a vibe about this group that I really like.
