Listener friendly melodic pop songs
author: Richard M. Wolff
You can not help but love a band that names its first album after a song by Aztec Camera. Not that you can really hear the influence, except perhaps in trying to write listener friendly melodic pop songs. Pop is not a negative term. The best pop songs are the ones you listen to once and find yourself humming to. Try to get them out of your head and find that you just can not do it.

Fun Album
author: Fresh Tuneage
This one is a bit of a mixed bag. The songs on this debut album by The Parallax Project that work the best are the Beatles-esque numbers like Just Like Yesterday and Take A Walk. The songs that don't work as well are the sensitive singer/songwriter-type songs. Then again, I like When I Die so what do I know? Well, I know that this album hits more than it misses so The Parallax Project makes it onto my "Bands to Keep an Eye On" list.

Nice, mellow pop music.
author: Josh
In terms of pop music, Parallax Project falls into the same category of goodness as the Salteens. The lyrics are well written and clever, the cd is a little more mellow than I had expected it to be, this is not a bad thing though since it differentiates Parallax Project from other pop bands. Worth the purchase.
