Parachute Musical began three years ago with the composition of the album's single, Arrhythmia. Singer, songwriter and piano front man for the group, Joshua Foster, began collaborating on the single and a few other songs off the album (Take, The Black Tie Affair) with bassist and friend Matt Dowling. Soon they would find themselves accompanied by Ben Jacoby (Drums) and a string of various guitarist (Kevin Klein, Eric Lewis and Tom Gilbert) all who, at various points, left the band and were replaced by equally talented musicians... aka, Chris Scheffey (IsOverOf).
About one year into the fiasco, Jacoby decided to try life out on the other side (the nothern part of the US) and thus, left the band... I cried. He was then replaced by all around bad ass Pete Moffett (Burning Airlines, Government Issue, Wool). This was short lived due to the fact that he is one IN DEMAND drum tech. and had to leave for career reasons. He then was replaced by Brian Hospital (Deleted Scenes).
Then one rainy day in the summer of 2006, Josh went to a concert in DC. After said concert, he realized that nothing along the lines of what he had just seen would ever be possible for his baby PM with the way things were going in Maryland. That night he bought a plane ticket to Nashville, TN where his guitar player and friend Tom Gilbert lives... he was on his way to check things out in the morning. Little did he know that Ben Jacoby, his original drummer, had also been checking things out the week before and was boarding a plane home from TN just as Josh was getting off of one! After a week long stay in Nashville it was apparent what needed to be done.
Josh moved to Nashville January 1st of 2007, he was soon joined by Ben Jacoby the following month. Josh, Ben and Tom, with the goal of making rock their livin', began Parachute Musical once again. They called on Kyle Cornett to play bass...
Now that the band is back together, they are collaborating on exciting new material and have started recording their second EP set to release in the Summer of 07. For the first time, Parachute Musical has a future and we thank you for supporting what we want to do...

Hard to let Go!

I caught Parachute Musical opening for my favorite band, Sons of Roswell, as a part of their Fall '07 tour in Florence AL. Let me tell you, they were amazing! I imediately knew I had to have this disc. This album is so easy to enjoy and with songs like Arhythmia, it is not easy to let go! They combine catchy melodies, lyrics and Attention grabbing rythems to create a sound anyone should enjoy. I suggest buying their album and if at all possible, see them live! I can't wait to see what these guys do next!

A great new sounding band. Like a mix between Ben Folds and the Fray. Leave is the best song!
