Album Notes

Parklane Twin was formed upon the concept "what would happen if the Beatles were locked into their Beatles For Sale' phase?" Kind of like what the Electric Light Orchestra did with Magical Mystery Tour, but with better outfits and shorter songs.

The band aims to combine classic country-rock songwriting with the sounds of contemporary indie rock. They're equally at home with the twang of the B-Bender Telecaster, and the moody hum of the Micro KORG synthesizer. It currently has five members - Jorge Barba (drums), John Cregan (guitar/vocals/keyboards), Yosuke Kitazawa (bass), Peter Perigo (vocals), and Hunter Robert Sandison (guitar).

Their eponymous debut balances several influences and vibes, ranging from Byrdsian country-pop to Exile on Main Street. It was recorded with the help of two of Los Angeles' most talented indie tunesmiths - Nik Freitas and Tom Wolfe (of Buva).
