Album Notes

Park Peters came into the world with perfect pitch and an interest in music. When playing with his mother's pots and pans with a wooden spoon, if the pitch wasn't perfect, he threw the pan out.

Although blind since birth, he began his professional career while still in high school as a solo jazz pianist and vocalist. His interest in electronics and recording equipment also began at an early age. In the late 1970's Park worked for many of Denver's major recording studios as a synthesizer programmer, keyboardist, and vocalist. While attending college, he started his own recording studio in the Denver area, which he still operates today.

In 1982, Park recorded and produced his first album. He recorded it in his basement on two four-track machines. It sold over 1200 copies. The success of his albums over the years led to live performances at various jazz festivals and concert series throughout Colorado as well as other states into the early '90s.

Through the years the studio grew, and Park took an active part in producing and recording other artists. Some of his projects include Rob Mullins "Tokyo Nights", Big Head Todd and the Monsters "Another Mayberry", Dean Peer "Risks and Missions", and Tom Wasinger "The World Sings Goodnight".

Park has also worked on music productions for several commercials and industrial videos for the likes of AT&T, McDonald's, KUSA-TV, Industrial Expositions, Cellular One, and US West.

In 2001, Park put out his first release in over ten years, Because You Asked. Recorded at his own studio, it features tunes by some of his favorite composers as well as his own. As he was beginning to do more live performing again, he wanted a collection of the songs that people had asked to buy. He followed up with a release he said he would never make, a Christmas album. Titled Paterns Of Christmas, it features a collection of recordings he made mostly for family and friends. Many of his friends suggested he sell it, so he did.

Currently, Audio Park Recording Studio demands most of Park's time, but he stilll enjoys writing and producing his own material. And, occasionally, he still bangs on pots and pans.
