A hot jazz version of “Was I?” kicks off the recording—a cover of Dorthy Dunn’s 1931 Ziegfield Follies smash--with smoldering, seductive vocals and smoking improvisations from the band. The balance of the songs are written by guitarist, writer and eraser Eddie Scher, featuring Melina’s sweet voice, Eddie’s National Style 1 guitar, plus ukulele and banjo, the deep double bass of Jeff Bruner, and extraordinary tympany of Jason Berkman.
