Recorded in Washington in 1993, this is Derek's first studio recording in 11 years. It features contributions by some of the best musicians in the northwest, such as cellist Jami Sieber, vocalist Janie Cribbs and guitarist Tom Hoeflich. Internationally known pianist David Lanz offers a beautiful improvisation on a theme written by Derek, "Beyond the Shadow". This lovely CD is many peoples favorite collection of Derek's work.
