Recorded in Washington in 1993, this is Derek's first studio recording in 11 years. It features contributions by some of the best musicians in the northwest, such as cellist Jami Sieber, vocalist Janie Cribbs and guitarist Tom Hoeflich. Internationally known pianist David Lanz offers a beautiful improvisation on a theme written by Derek, "Beyond the Shadow". This lovely CD is many peoples favorite collection of Derek's work.

Got this stuck in my cd player a few years ago !

My friend Richard lent me his copy of this cd and I just have never been able to give it back to him (I'ved had it for over ten years now)It was so good I found it constantly in my cd player for about a month or two...thanks Richard and of course you too Derek!!
