In the summer of 2002 Johnny Parry travelled to Toronto, Canada, to make a record.
Collaborating with the finest of Toronto's underground musicians, Johnny and producer Ru Cook built a mobile studio to record the sessions that would form 'Break Your Little Heart'.
'Break Your Little Heart' is a dark and introverted look at childhood,
blending piano-led acoustic melodies with electronic rhythms and Johnny's distinctive vocal style. Recorded in St Paul's Church, Toronto, and various apartments and spaces around the city, the unusual events of the recording process were documented by Canadian film-maker Dan Browne.
After several months, Johnny and Ru returned to Lost Boys Studio, England to finish the record and collaborate with London based artist Andy Holden on the album artwork & live projections.
This has resulted in some stunning film visuals for the six-piece liveshow, which re-interprets the songs from 'Break your Little Heart' for thenew line up of band, laptop & video projector.
