Album Notes

Pop-rock combo Partly Dave's new album "Own Up" contains original songs steeped in the “two-guitars-bass-and-drums” style of the British Invasion.
To original melodies reminiscent of the Lovin’ Spoonful, the band adds a groove-locked rhythm section, both overdriven and acoustic guitars, and vocal harmonies. Listeners will hear songs the band has written infused with a dose of wide-ranging influences: as much present-day Wilco, for example, as early Kinks.
“Partly Dave” hails from Oregon's Willamette Valley. However, its members have arrived there by way of locations too numerous to mention. In most of these other places they added their instruments and efforts to local area bands.

Superb and fun CD. Loren Depping has a remarkable talent when it comes to lyrics and the music that goes with his stories. The CD was worth every penny and more.
