Re: Something You Make Like to Hear

Hello Billy,
Thanks for sharing your brandnew song!! This is the first time that this happens to me. :-) Wow, I really enjoyed it Billy!! This is the kind of music I'd love to hear on the radio today, instead of that boring, uninspired RnB music. I'm not used to listen to contemporary gospel though, but this stuff reminds me of quality late 80s, 90s R&B (Ronnie McNeir,
Sounds Of Blackness,...) when black music was still true, inspired and exciting. To me this song is very well balanced, harmonious and full of positive energy. It's joyous, jazzy, soulful and catchy. For this type of music I only have a few references like the Jamal Thomas Band. Jamal (formerly drummer with the SOS Band) is living near to my home and he
makes a similar kind of fresh black music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDX2OEypZ9Q&feature=related I love the vocals on Caught Up, lead vocal ánd backings: this is CLASS man, honestly!! The intro is awesome and immediate, just perfect. Who's the singer by the way, ...Tony? Or is this you Billy? The production and arranging is full of good ideas but there's still margin to uplift the inherent quality in some places. But of course, this is often a matter of
budget. But this song is a ROCK man, full of great potential! I'd love to share 1 or 2 minutes of this track with the people on one of the leading Modern Soul forums "Essential Modern Soul": http://s2.excoboard.com/ems ,
but I guess that at this stage the song is still 'very confidential'... If you agree to release a snippet, I could communicate you the reactions of the forum members or you could join yourself. It would be a great idea to tell the story of John White and how you got involved. Perhaps I can prepare a series of questions. And when you have some time, you could write down the answers. Let me know what you think Billy. See you 'round and thanks for the wonderful feel good music. Francis
