Four years after his first release, P.A.T. is back with True Grit. Now residing in Houston, TX, P.A.T. is currently working on new material, making beats and doing open mics.

It all started when a sports injury in 2003 left P.A.T., real name Patrick Warren, with a severely broken wrist in a cast, one that multiple surgeries by the flagship of naval medicine could not repair. In the military at the time, he was unable to deploy with his unit and couldn't work out, couldn't do much really, besides read and drink. Heavy drinking and a sedentary lifestyle gave way to severe depression. He started taking anti-depressants, but they didn't help much. With few healthy outlets available for aggression and angst, things looked bleak. Patrick, not thinking too much about it, prayed one night when going to sleep "God, if it be Thy will, then let me make music."

One day in the fall of 2003 his prayers were answered when a bootleg version of a software program which enabled him to make beats found its way into his hands, and the rest is history.
