Pat Anderson is an independent roots-rock singer/songwriter based in Nashville. His music springs from his personal background (born in Oklahoma and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia) and his love of American popular music. It is authentic Americana, in the truest sense of the word, with an unabashed nod to pop, rock n' roll, classic country, folk, and everything in between.
Over the past year Anderson and his band have performed on an ever widening range of stages, playing in four states over that time period. His debut EP, "Wide Open Lonely," released in the fall of 2004, has garnered attention from industry folks and fans alike. He has been compared to Tom Petty, Jim Croce, Van Morrison, and John Mellencamp, among others. On his approach to songwriting he has this to say:
"They say you should write about what you know. Well, there's a lot of things I don't know about, but I do know how to laugh, cry, love, hate, sweat, bleed, win, and lose; to be hungry for something better. Those are the things that make us human, and those are the things I try to amplify and glorify in the songs."

Crisp, new and unique! I like the balance of ballads and songs that make you want to sing and tap your feet. Pat's voice is captivating and invites the listener right into the story of the song; you feel as though you are part of the event. The instruments enhance all. A truly multi-sensory experience!
