Pat Fonte began to play bass and soon moved on to guitar. After about a year of playing he joined the two-piece acoustic band Courtside View in which he and the other member would switch between guitar, bass, and singing. Once Pat became the steady singer and guitar player courtside view merged with a drummer and second guitarist to form Hit The Deck. They began to play shows, and were soon joined by a keyboardist. After about a year differences in musical taste caused Pat to move on. Pat then began to record his first CD.
