Album Notes
Pat's songs have been praised highly by Pete Seeger, Peter Yarrow, Sonny Ochs, and others. Cindy Mangsen says: "Pat's songs are thoughtful and truthful." They have a strong folk influence, and cover issues such as peace, religion and the environment, and many personal topics as well. They are carefully crafted and lyric-driven, with tunes and especially choruses (chori?) that are eminently singable. But the top-notch backup musicians and vocalists on her albums, including Vito Petroccitto Jr., Rachel Handman, and David Roth, make them especially delightful to listen to. Fans write things such as: "I meant to write and tell you how much I've enjoyed your CD -- love your compositions and your songs, love how personal the songs are to your life, how you take what you experience and come up with something so moving or funny or whatever the case may be. I play it over and over." Or, "In addition to the superb lyric writing I've grown to take for granted in your case, I really enjoyed your original takes on many of the subjects you address...You also took full advantage of the way the CD format allows an artist to arrange the songs in an intriguing order...There's never a dull moment...Nice environmental packaging too."

Really Great!
A really great CD from Hudson Valley NY singer Pat Lamanna. She has been known as a singer/songwriter of progressive political music for a long time. I think with this CD her songs - always good - have matured to the point where they will hold their own with any world class folk artist. Los Mineros is very beautiful and at the same time chilling, Lucky Little Girls poignant and what would Jesus Buy as funny as the title suggests. But my favorite song on the album was the romantic Just One More Time. Her voice sings out as clear as a bell and the lyrics are sweet and moving. Wonderful, wonderful - and go see her live if you can!
