World Music harpist and composer, Patrice Fisher, has been recording and performing her own music since 1971. She is a graduate of Tulane University, Wolf Trap Academy for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C and the Creative Music Studio Jazz School in New York. She has recorded 11 Cd's of original music, including her latest CD, "Crema de Papaya," featuring musicians from New Orleans, Brazil, Guatemala, Venezuela and Bolivia. She has traveled throughout the world, performing at festivals, like the Cancun Jazz Festival, the Encuentro Jazz Fest in Guatemala and FestJazz in La Paz, Bolivia. The State Orchestra of Sergipe, Brazil, sponsored concerts in 2004 and 2005, featuring the Latin jazz compositions of Patrice with their orchestra.

"Although I have a bachelor's degree in music and composition, I have always focused my work on jazz. I have worked as a professional musician in Louisiana since 1975. In 1980, I saw a public television special on the music of Brazil. I travelled there and began collecting Brazilian music. I joined a music group called Sounds of Brazil, which included musicians from Cuba, and I became interested in Cuban music, as well. My studies of Cuban and Brazilian music have had a profound effect on my own compositions."
