Review of A Song for You
author: Patrice Broderick
I love Patrice's voice and Spot Barnett is so wonderful too. The sax is my favorite instrument. I am hardly able to say which song goes on the top of my list but i guess I will say making whoopee as it is a fun song. All these songs demonstrate Patrice's wonderful range and ability. I play this CD in my truck as I drive around long distances. The Rose has been a favorite song of mine that I sing often but as said already her unique treatment of the song is fabulous.

Patrice Villastrigo excels at Great American Songbook
author: Tony Cantu
I liked the infectious joyfulness of "Keep on Smiling." The rendition seems to have been recorded with no small measure of enthusiasm and joie de vivre, a sense evident with every note. At the other end of the mood spectrum, I found the delivery of "My Funny Valentine" at once haunting, pensive and poignant, as if delivered by a singer -- of ... See Moreconsiderable ability, I might add -- reflecting upon a lost love. Overall, I found selections from the Great Amerrican Songbook well represented here. More contemporary offerings as "A Song for You" are presented with a necessary dose of palpable contrition as the interpreter pleads forgiveness to a slighted lover in this classic torch song. On the whole, a delightful musical experience by a lovely and able interpreter of song.
