Patricia Bahia (pronounced ba-he-ah) is a Los Angeles-based pop singer-songwriter and recording artist who started her career as a jazz singer and soloist with the acclaimed Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir--recording with Linda Ronstadt, performing with Joan Baez, and opening for Bonnie Rait.

A former jazz and gospel singer, Patricia discovered her "inner songwriter" during a successful battle with ovarian cancer seven years ago. She credits her illness with the discovery of her songwriting voice, and credits music with her recovery.

“Music was a huge part of my recovery. In the process of healing, I thought about what I was called to contribute to the world, and I discovered my voice as a songwriter. Music saved my life."

Now healed, Patricia is on a mission to spread love, healing, joy and peace through the power of words and music--and to inspire others to follow their dreams and live artistically.

Patricia’s debut CD of original songs, Long Road Home, reflects her unique sound forged from her rich musical and life history, and delivers a fresh melding of electro-acoustic pop and country, clear and emotionally expressive vocals, inspiring lyrics and timeless melodies. And though the journey leading to this album may have been long, Patricia says in the lyric of the CD’s title track, she “wouldn’t change a single stone, on the long road home.”
