Cellist Patricia White combines classical expertise with an intense love of traditional hymns in this uniquely beautiful recording.

A graduate of the Juilliard School, Patricia made her solo debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the age of 16. She is a classical musician with strong roots in the church.

This recording contains familiar and beloved hymns such as "Holy, Holy, Holy" and "Amazing Grace", played by the cello alone in layered parts.

It also contains popular classical selections such as "Meditation from Thais" and "The Flower Duet from Lakme", in which Patricia pairs with violinist Tamara Ringas, a sensitive and skilled musician who graduated from Indiana University and won the Rose Faye Centennial Competition.

Both musicians play on fine, rare 18th Century instruments which make for a gorgeous blend of sound.

Other selections on this recording, such as "I Need Thee Every Hour" and "Nearer, My God, To Thee" are played by cello with piano accompaniment. The piano is played by Deborah Wilson, the church pianist for the magnificent First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN.

These are sensitively played instrumentals that will soothe and inspire the listener.
