i was climbing the long road into the rocky mountains listening to escaper's waltz...it was a sublime moment, with all that dappled light and sky pocket. this record is a heartfelt, twinkly journey. if you haven't seen patrick play live, get thee to a show, his performances are magnificent, charming, individual, and utterly lovable.

City Blood, Country Heart

I bought this CD about a year ago and replay it from time to time and each and every time it sounds paradoxically fresh and innovative while at the same time feeling warm, cozy and familiar like an old wool sweater on a harsh winter day.The music certainly defies arbitrary genre classification but would certainly find a place under "good music" in Duke Ellington's scheme. This disc is the ideal companion for a late night drive along quiet country roads with the moon peaking out from behind clouds to set the mood lighting. It would be equally welcome at first light on the shore of a secluded lake to accompany the aroma of frsh coffee and the promise of a new day. A beautiful, understated work Patrick.I look forward to hearing some live performances.
