Recovery Spirit was first released by Patrick Haggerson in 2002. This second edition reflects six years of performing the concert for various levels of recovering audiences. This version has seven new additions, five original and two folk songs arranged to express the spirit of Step Ten and Step Twelve.
All Recovery Spirit 2 pieces are offered as musical expressions which explore and celebrate the changes experienced in the working of each step. My sincere hope is that the listener will be inspired to attempt the full ascent of the Twelve Steps if s/he hasn’t done so and that those who have will experience the euphoric recall of the experience of working each step however many times that may be.
I am so grateful to have found 12 Step Recovery and the Red Road, as practiced by my Shuswap (Alkali Lake, B.C.) and Lakota (Rosebud, SD) family. I find this to be a most meaningful and soulful way to live. I’m now gratefully trudging the Road of Happy Destiny! I pray this music honors and celebrates that commitment to Life!
