Patrick Royer honed his unique songwriting and vocal style working with an eclectic range of musicians and writers in Seattle Washington. Prior to the collection of songs in his 2008 release "Sane Radio Overdrive" however, he had not released anything since 1996. This project actually began with the song "A little longer", which was meant only as a birthday present to his daughter Sofia. He is currently working on pre-production for follow-up solo albums and writing for other artists as well.
The critical ear might detect catchy Beatle-esque pop melodies, and later influences from "song writers' song writer" like the Buckleys, John Prine, Rufus Wainright, and David Gray. Patrick is a prolific song writer with a catalogue of over a hundred recorded songs.
He resides in Tucson, Arizona and is actively involved in ecological research and is a published scientist, and enjoys climbing and mountaineering (really..Are there glaciers in Arizona?).
