Native Vermonter Patti Casey has established herself as a national figure on the new folk/pop and bluegrass scene. With several impressive contest wins (A Prairie Home Companion's 2001 Talent From Towns Under Two Thousand, Kerrville Folk Festival's 2000 New Folk Songwriting Contest, 1995 Chris Austin Songwriting Contest winner and 1997 alternate, 2004 South Florida Folk Festival Songwriting Contest Finalist), a solid performance history starting in the early 1990s, and a voice that is "one in a million" (Vermont Public Radio) and "evocative" (the Boston Herald), Casey delivers sweet, soulful, and passionate gems crafted with keen observance.
