Album Notes

Take a trip with Patti to the jazz clubs of the 30s and 40s, to New York and Paris where it was always \'Round Midnight’ and no one wanted to go home. Her voice: a distinctive, elegant, sultry sound that evokes memories of Billie, Ella, Frank, Duke and takes you on a journey to another time, another place.

Patti Holladay grew up in Florence, Alabama, on the banks of the Tennessee River. She was raised by music loving parents who exposed her to all types of musical influences including: George Jones, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day as well as Bach and Beethoven.

Patti honed her musical skills in local theater in Florence and the surrounding area, performing dramas and musicals including two original works by Favre Sparks. Since then, as a solo performer, she moved to Georgia and performed in a variety of venues ranging from the World of Coke in Atlanta, to festivals and concerts in the Southeast including a guest vocalist appearance with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra.

From 1987 to 2004, Patti took a singing hiatus to raise a family and volunteer within the community, but since she’s got music in her blood she happily jumped right back into performing again as soon as she got the chance. In 2005, Patti began singing with the Etowah Jazz Society, a talented group of musicians who love music as much as she does. She also continues to perform in live theater productions.

Patti currently lives in Cartersville, Ga., with her husband and her younger kids. She is a mother of five (some are out of the house) and grandmother of two. Patti still has her day job working as accounts manager at Eyeworks Inc. and can easily recommend which pair of designer glasses would look good on your face.

Patti’s debut CD titled “All or Nothing at All” is a rich collection of some of her favorite songs. This smooth collaboration is her first with the talented Blue Hills Trio (Brian McLeod, keyboard; Bruce McLeod, bass and Rick McKee, drums). Others on CD include Phil Marnell (trumpet, flugelhorn) and Daniel Williams (saxophone). Scott Trinh was the lead engineer at Earthshaking Music\'s recording studio who recorded, mixed, and mastered the CD. All arrangements were masterfully completed by Daniel Williams.
