Pat's style has evolved from a diverse background including influences from Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Al DiMeola, and Eric Johnson. His soulful and powerful vocal style make his melodic compositions exude an emotional force often missing in today's music. A seasoned artist in his own right, Pat leaves an impression on audiences, players and club owners, that they don't soon forget.

The Pat Tinney Group/PT & The Cruzers has shared billings with renowned acts such as Robin Trower, The Starship, Edgar Winter, The Guess Who, Blue Oyster Cult, Gary Hoey, Abraxas (Neil Schon, Greg Rolie, Michael Shrieve), Eddie Money, and Larry Carlton.

Pat: "I started when I was about 8 years old. I wanted to play guitar, but my parents didn't have much money and didn't think I was serious about it. They didn't want to invest any money in my goal. My grandfather, who was a collector, gave me a banjo that he found at a flea market, so my parents decided that I could take banjo lessons. I really took up the guitar at age 10, and I've been self-taught. I haven't had any formal lessons on guitar."
