Album Notes

I have some “very special friends” who are songwriters, and this album, A Strange Sort of Comfort, features the song writing gifts of 3 of them....John Fern, Danny Knapp, and Dan Samples. These are songs I love to sing...and are now a part of me forever. Every one of these songs is a doorway that nudges us to remember how very fragile life is and to appreciate it more.

Each songwriter on this album has a familiarity with the seasons, tides, and places where nature and acceptance abound. Each song has a familiar ringing of truth how from taking time to reflect, we derive a personal truth that is comfortable. These 7 songs are a cornucopia of the ways we come to experience love, loss, hope, and acceptance.
