Paul has many different and eclectic tastes when it comes to music. So, he has worked in more than a few styles on this CD. Weaving in and out of styles and genre is a very natural and organic thing to him. Nothing is ever forced. It's all real.

Album Notes

I'll go without writing a song as long as I have to, because the music has to be organic and real. "Ruckus At The Junction" is made up of songs that are organic and real. I chose the best ten tracks of a batch of more than 20 I wrote since January 2011.
I'm a man of a few words, unless I'm writing or singing. Most of who I am, and what is known about me can just come from the music I leave behind when I'm gone. That's art.

Art for art's sake
author: Joni

Paul makes art, not just music. Make art not decreed and we can not proclaim artist. I do not really see Paul but I hear him and what I know about him comes from his songs. Paul is the junction , Paul is an artist ...my little inner voice tells me that.. what I love about Paul is that he claims to be anything and he let go naturally in the river of inspiration . This following words are what I think about Paul : -"Art for art's sake" is the usual English rendering of a French slogan, from the early 19th century, ''l'art pour l'art'', and expresses a philosophy that the intrinsic value of art, and the only "true" art, is divorced from any didactic, moral or utilitarian function. Such works are sometimes described as "autotelic", from the Greek autoteles, “complete in itself”, a concept that has been expanded to embrace "inner-directed" or "self-motivated" human beings.- Thank brother Joni

Ruckus At The Junction - A MUST HAVE!!!!

I came across Paul Bradford totally by chance while aimlessly clicking through Youtube videos and fell in love with his insightful lyrics and soulful guitar work. I am a huge Beatles fan and the songwriting reminds me alot of Lennon's work, both structure and style, but mixed with an unknown element that is reminiscent of early Tom Petty. I could go on for pages praising this album, but I would suggest that you just check out the previews for yourself. I recommend "Blown Away" and "Idle Thoughts" to get you going. - J Kay
