"Away With Words" features 10 (9 original) instrumental tunes that
will take you on a musical journey of the heart. Once described as the
'Best 5th man in the music business', Paul Christensen has always been
able to add his unique talent to bring music to another level - now he
does on his own with his first solo release.
Since he held his first instrument in hand at a tender young age it seemed Paul was destined to be a musician. His love for communicating to others through music has not diminished over the years but grown only more rewarding through experimentation and diversity of styles. Being brought up with classical music being played at home on a regular basis laid the foundation for a rich diversity of influences, which is reflected in his music. “No one is completely original, we are all very complex beings; a culmination of our experiences and influences. I love the energy and excitement of rock, the majesty of classical and the freedom of jazz. It’s not that classical or jazz don’t have energy and excitement or that rock can’t be majestic, it’s that each genre contributes its lineage when applied to contemporary music to create something new”.
Paul not only continues to solo gig, but has played and recorded with North Coast Rocker Michael Stanley and the Resonators for over 14 years.
