ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Paul Horn is the ultimate world musician, a sound traveler without peer.

Two years after performing on Ravi Shankar’s essential 1965 World Pacific Recording, Portrait of Genius, Paul Horn traveled to India for the first time. On this four-month journey, he recorded In India with as ensemble of Shankar’s most accomplished students; and Kashmir, in collaboration with the favorite players of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

The lyricism and peaceful energy of these recordings is as timeless today as when they were first created. This CD has been remastered and contains fascinating liner notes by the late musician and critic: Robert Palmer.
