Born in Stockholm 1968 Paul Humble picked up the guitar at the age of five, but it wasn't until he saw Blue Öyster Cult 1975 at Konserthuset in Stockholm he knew that the guitar was his thing. Fueled with inspiration by his older cousin he started a band with his friends. The combo was named Jorbs and played concerts in the little area where they grew up. In 1986 Steamroller was formed and the band played extensively all over the Stockholm area. In 1990 the band headed for Los Angeles in order to experience America and to play the clubs, e.g. Whisky a Go-Go and the Roxy. The band released one album.
Back in Sweden 1993 he started to make a guitar album and the result is the 1997 release Intermission. The album is a mix of different sounds and guitars--in fact guitars is all that you will hear. The album is clean sounding and the tunes are slow and mid tempo which makes it perfect for relaxing moments when all you want is to enjoy the beautiful, warm and rich sound of guitars.
The second Paul Humble album Stringed was released in 2003. It consists of ten guitar instrumentals with a slightly rawer sound than the Intermission one. It was recorded at A Studios in Stockholm during a couple of weeks in the spring of 2003. A wide variety of guitars were used on the album and Stringed sounds as a natural follow-up to the debut.

A Thing of Beauty...
author: Joe Cefalu
Lovely songs, pure & beautiful guitar tones and not a note wasted on these tunes. This is a man who knows how to make the guitar speak – nice job. Really!
