Album Notes

His songs are roadmaps of the soul, a series of paintings that are sometimes culled from personal experience, other times from the triumphs and failures or others in an imperfect world. Like many great songwriters, Inman takes personal experience and universalizes it.

Originally from Detroit, Paul Inman/Paul Inman's Delivery now calls Los Angeles home. That geographic area seems to be an apt fit for the band's expansive music, with lyrics that are far-reaching and sounds that are culled from vast extremes of landscape which reflect a mindset fostered on wide open possibilities.

Paul Inman's Delivery is the group name of musical exploration based around the core of Paul Inman (guitars, keyboards, harmonica, lead vocals), and Robert Dill (drums and percussion),with Jeff Legore (bass guitar and background vocals) who has returned to the lineup after Kevin Hicks joined the fold for the recording and a few years worth of live shows. Paul Inman's Delivery is ably aided on the album by the multi-instrumental talents of producer/engineer Larry Goetz (Edgar Winter, War, Ghosthouse,Steve Wynn, and others)who co-produced this affair while deepening the sonic assault of the band's rootsy Gothic-tinged folk and psychedelic country rock.

On this second album on Mojave Moon Records, "On the Heels of Rimbaud, Again...", Paul Inman's Delivery continues to mine the Cosmic American/Americana field while looking back to look forward. It melds traditional elements of folk and classic rock into a Gothic stew to render a contemporary folk rock mixture with psychedelic overtures. The LA Weekly called this CD a "compelling blend of stirring rock/pop/and folk",the Santa Barbara Independent quips that "'On The Heels'...' songs grab the listener via vocals delivered with firebrand passion and aching conviction", and the Desert Post Weekly calls it "a solid work with instant melodies to match well-wrought lyrical turns". Paul Inman's Delivery bravely enter the new millenium with an arsenal of soul stirring Gothic Americana.
