Jack Johnson meets Paul Simon meets Dave Matthews meets John Mayer. Sit back, relax, play this album all the way through while driving to and from work. Good songwriting and original, organic acoustic sound.

Album Notes

Music began playing a significant role in my life during my high school days when my oldest sister, Dani, would play Joe Jackson albums on our way to school in the mornings. After a few months of being force-fed albums like "Night and Day", "Big World", and "Jumpin' Jive" I was eventually hooked. Since then, I've always been in anticipation of his next album and soon began discovering new bands and sounds that ultimately led me to pick up a guitar, teach myself to play, and then write my own songs. I've had some success in the recordings I've made as I was a Finalist in two separate categories of the 2003 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for songs that can be found on my first CD "Wherever You Decide." ("Oliver" and "Stuck", Children's and Folk categories, respectively.) "Stuck" was also picked up for an episode on an ABC Family Network TV show called "Knock First".

It's 2006 and I just released the "Big Yellow Moon EP". I don't have a record label and the distribution of my CDs are currently limited to cdbaby.com as well as my live gigs. I play locally in the beach city venues of Southern California such as Michi (Manhattan Beach), the Riviera Mexican Grill (Redondo Beach), Harbor Drive (Redondo Beach), and Shore (Hermosa Beach). I've definitely made a habit of taking songs from some of my favorite artists (Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, David Gray, Dave Matthews, Howie Day, Mark Kozelek, the White Buffalo, Sufjan Stevens, Damien Rice, and John Mayer to name a few) and making them 'my own' so to speak. These are my interpretations of their songs and I love to experiment with making the tunes sound a little different than you might expect to hear. I play many of my gigs with an amazing lead guitar player, Dan O'Sullivan, who brings his interpretations to the songs as well.

Enjoy the music!
Paul

REVIEWS

Yet another amazing work of art from Paul Lemire...
author: Gina Spencer Hamilton
Pauls music is both lyrically and instrumentally superior to most of what is available these days...a breath of fresh air. It is not very often that you find an album with every single song packed with such likability and genuine talent.
