More about Paul:

Mr. Paul Midiri, along with his brother Joe, co-lead the 16-piece Midiri Brothers Orchestra as well as various small group jazz ensembles. The Midiri Brothers Sextet performs jazz arrangements of standards as well as originals. The big band performs classics as well as newer standards, in a jazz setting.

Paul's many instrumental talents lend a special versatility to the Midiri band’s unique sound. While Paul excels on trombone with the big band, his specialty is jazz vibraphone with the sextet. His extended virtuosity includes the drums and he is renowned for his great brush work. Paul’s love for the vibes has lead him to arrange numerous pieces for the sextet, to give this instrument a proper setting in a jazz ensemble.

The sextet has also performed across country in many jazz festivals including the Costa Mesa Orange County Classic Jazz Festival in California, the Mammoth Lakes Jazz Jubilee, Sun Valley Jazz Jubilee, the Great Connecticut JazzFest, Pennsylvania Jazz Festival.

“Paul Midiri is one of the finest vibraphone performers around.”
- Lee Prosser

“ . . . Paul. His amazing virtuosity brought to mind some of the great vibes players of our time.”
- Brian D. Clifford
