Album Notes

Paul Pasch is a performing singer/songwriter, with roots in the Southern New England area. Early musical influences were songwriters John Prine, Leonard Cohen, Mississippi John Hurt and Guy Clark. His songwriting has developed into his own unique storytelling and musical style. Tornado Sky is a collection of stories and ballads. The subject matter of the songs cross a wide spectrum of topics, from the lighthearted "Johnsonville Faire", which is reminiscent of older country blues songs dealing with sexual relationships like Mississippi John Hurt's "I'm Satisfied", to a love song written for Paul's wife of thirty years "Just Fall", to the waltz tempo "Memories of You", a haunting look at the life of an adult child dealing with a parent's Alzheimer's. The songs are well written, and are recorded in a very organic and natural style. You'll listen to this one again and again!
