Album Notes

Paul salazar is something of a musical nomad. His roots, to be sure, are sunk deeply in the arid soil of central New Mexico, and the heart of Paul's music beats with an elegant simplicity as spare and timeless as the desert Southwest. (think enduring lyrical themes, tasteful guitar work, and pure, graceful vocal stylings...)

Stil, Paul possesses an unquenchable musical wanderlust that has taken him miles from home, artistically as well as geographically. Witness some of the acts Senor Salazar has opened for across the country, both as a member of Drift(of Window Records fame), and as a solo act: Steely Dan, Dishwalla,Tesla,Trippin'Daisy...The list goes on and on.

So where is Paul pitching his tent these days, musically speaking? His much anticipated solo album, should provide some clues. For starters, just take a look at the company he's been keeping in the studio - you've got guest artists like Kenny Passarelli of Stephen Stills and Elton John fame lending a distinctive touch, while the project as a whole comes to life under the sharp eye of Grammy - nominated engineer / producer Tim Stroh. Sounds promising, Que no?

Whether you pick up the CD or catch the footloose troubadour himself in concert, there's no question you'll get your money's worth. Hang a while with this enigmatic, itinerant phenom...There's no telling where you'll end up, but you're in for one hell of a trip.
