I bought it when it first came out and, about six years later, am still regularly listening to it. 
I have been a Shortino fan since 1984 and his Rough Cutt days. I always thought that Shortino would sound great in a rhythm and blues setting. And he sounds better than that ! I sometimes feel that the songwriting on his heavy rock albums is lacking of greatness and that the voice saved some of his songs. This is not the case with this record. The songs AND the voice are just great. Anyone into Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lynyrd Skynyrd or BB King can find something to like on this record. It's probably rockier than traditional R'n'B albums but the spirit is there. This is by far my favourite Paul Shortino album. The guy sings his heart out and his brilliant thoughtout. Highlights for me are "Honesty" and "Stand Or Fall".
