Pausefiskene is a 7-piece Norwegian alternative rock/pop band. Their musical influences are diverse, but a clever mind coined the term "bossapop'n roll" to describe their current musical style. Playful rock and pop, often with a bossa nova beat as foundation, a sound based on fuzz guitars or acoustic flamenco guitar pending on circumstances, spiced with quirky tones from a bandoneon or an accordion, and where the bass just as well might take the lead as the guitars or the accordion. Four singers of both sexes alternate between taking the lead or contribute in vocal harmonies - all sung in their native tongue, Norwegian. .
