The new sounds of punk ass bliss!

Phil Avalos & The Quiet Lanes are knocking them down with their adventurous new release! Several new angles in the pop-punk sound and riddled with a modish passion that makes you want to get up and move about the cabin. Opening with vintage Sometimes 7, "Pop Start" shows the master's true colors and sheer joy in expression. Rev it up with "Come On Action," more of punk ass number - throwing out some true American kickin' street sound. "Tape Me a Revolution" will awaken some of the dead Beatles just to see that things are still shakin'. The rockin' sounds of "You Heard Me Punk" makes an exciting American verb out of the punk movement. The Quiet Lanes have pulled off a clean sound of pop pleasure and simple brilliance!

"Don't Shake Me Up" has to be one of the best albums I've heard this year. At first it was the familiar S7 sound, then as the cd went on I could really hear how the music has changed - but without losing the trademark sound. All of the songs are great, but I really like "She Says" and "Tape Me A Revolution". I love the vocals on those two. And I like "Jennifer Someday" too, especially cause it has my name in it. Ha ha. Oh and "It's Alright" sounds a little like Little Band That Could. It's cool to hear the songs getting heavier and more raw.
