Pam Brooks & Lonesome Wind
Hamilton, Ontario born Pam Brooks' earlier country band brought that city's local venues a unique blend of new country with a splash of bluegrass. She retired her country career at a ripe old age of 23 years after successfully booking her band, Pam Brooks & Country Connection. During her 5-year stint with her country band, she also made several appearances on the 820 CHAM radio Country Chamboree. She honed her bluegrass skills while fronting her country band from the bluegrass musicians in the area. Pam learned her strong rhythm guitar style and vocals from her father who also served as her mentor.
After many years Pam re-entered the music scene with a powerful punch, deciding to perform the music she loved, bluegrass and traditional country. She teamed up with seasoned musicians in the bluegrass circuit with past recording careers of their own and created a new band called Lonesome Wind. This lead to a new CD titled, Pam Brooks & Lonesome Wind, Waiting for the Wind. The CD features her fabulous band along with some very special guests. Pam also shows her emerging talent as a songwriter with her song she wrote and arranged, Waiting for the Wind. The CD features both the bluegrass and traditional country sounds that Pam loves. Not only does she sing lead vocals on this CD, but she also sings most of the tenor vocals over her own lead vocals, plays guitar and takes a hand in producing the project. Another word for talented, would be Pam.
Pam has performed regionally including radio and TV in Ontario and Quebec. Lonesome Wind is also featured on various Internet sites including the Nashville Independent Play list. Pam's love of the music and people will make her a sought after performer. With her positive attitude and energy, she will become a voice and a name that won't easily be forgotten.
Pam lives with her husband and 2 teens in London, Ontario.

Pam Brooks & Lonesome Wind released a new Bluegrass CD entitled, Waiting For The Wind recently and by all accounts, this CD will be an Award Winner. Pam was born in Hamilton, Ontario and now lives with her husband and her two children in London, Ontario. Pam is a very talented singer/songwriter and had been in a country band for some years. Her father taught her how to play the guitar and do vocals. She recently formed a bluegrass band from very talented musicians and called her band, Lonesome Wind. Then they decided to put together a bluegrass CD, and what a great choice they made! This must be the top bluegrass CD received by Atlantic Seabreeze in some time. It should take many bluegrass awards in 2004. We rate this album a full 5 stars + out of 5 stars. The CD contains 12 tracks, one of which Pam wrote herself entitled, Waiting For the Wind, called the CD after this song and it is a masterpiece. All other 11 tracks contain bluegrass and traditional favourites. Pam sings all lead vocals, plays rhythm guitar and sings most of the tenor vocals over her own lead vocals. Here are the titles of all the other songs, many of which are standard traditional country and bluegrass songs and will bring back many memories to the listener; Lonesome Wind Blues-Once More-Little Angels-I Wish You Know-Don't Let Me Cross Over-Are You Teasing Me-Just Call On Me-Roses In The Snow-Unwed Fathers-Hickory Wind and Darkest Hour Is Just Before Dawn. Her band members are the most talented musicians that one can find and on this CD, their sound is completely outstanding and Pam's voice is what can I say, look out Rhonda Vincent, a Nashville top bluegrass singer. Other music artists who helped with the music and vocals on the CD are; Loren Johnson, Maria Polillo, Norm Tellier, Norvil Brooks, Randy Morrison and Doug Dietrich. Here are the names of the Lonesome Wind band: Gary D'Entremont, mandolin, harmony/lead vocals-Paul Hurdle, banjo, harmony vocals-Al Widmeyer, resophonic guitar, fiddle, guitar, lead/harmony vocals, Guy Tellier, acoustic bass and of course Pam Brooks, lead vocals, harmony and guitar.
