This is the product of years on the road, lots of sleazy clubs, huge festivals, and churning up a dancefloor. Super playing, shining harmonies, and an unerring ear for rock... there's real talent here, folks.

Album Notes

Since 1995, Daisy Blue Groff and Rachelle Van Zanten , along with Kim Gryba ('97) and Carolyn Fortowsky ('99), have delivered rich vocal sounds "with the finesse of a self-possessed tomboy" (Michelle Genest, The Yukon News). The founding duo's folk and gospel roots still resonate through their careful attention to lyrics. Yet their sound has evolved from the early days, having grown in power and confidence. Today the band's delivery is pure rock rock.

The Daisies were credited with an ARIA nomination for "Best Roots Recording" and were recently nominated for four Praire Music Awards. They won "Entertainer of the Year", beating out Nickelback, Jann Arden and Wide Mouth Mason. The ladies then ousted 4,000 acts across Canada to win "The Great Canadian Music Dream" and filmed their own TV special with guest Randy Bachman.
