Phil Jones was diagnosed in 1976 with a life-threatening illness for which there is no known cure. He was agnostic at the time. His full recovery traces to his acceptance of the Living God who answers prayers, and he is living proof of the reality and healing power of God. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, with a Master's degree in Human Resource Development, he formed Sunrise Ministries in 1995. The mission of Sunrise Ministries is to share the loving kindness and healing power of God through an alive and exciting ministry of original music, personal witness, and healing prayer. The company offers programs in music, adult education, and comedy. Phil currently serves as Music and Spiritual Instructor at the Marbridge Foundation (www.marbridge.org), a non-profit residential training facility for adults with cognitive disabilities. This album is his fourth. Previous projects include "Wind in Your Sails", "Keepers", and "Confessions of a Mad Christian".

Debi Witt Jones, a native of Austin, Texas, began playing guitar at age 13, and soon began writing songs. She has been a lifelong performer in her local church ever since. Her debut album in 1999, published under the name of Debi Witt, was entitled "Spiritual Evolution". In addition to music, Debi also is a comedienne. She has written and performs a popular comedy routine featuring a bulls-eye imitation Lily Tomlin's memorable character Ernestine, the telephone operator, fielding calls from Old Testament characters who are attempting to reach God. A successful businesswoman, Debi heads up Austintatious Advertising, a promotional products firm which she founded in 1983.

Phil and Debi met through their mutual interest in Chrsitian music in 1998 and married in March, 2000. "My Heart's Desire" is their first project together.

Christian singer/songwriters Phil and Debi Jones team up on an original 10-song collection of rock-and-roll, blues, and country ballads, with a touch of blue-eyed soul, celebrating the goodness of God and their love for each other. The versatility of these independent artists is on display, in searing rock-and-roll (My Reason), deep and searching ballads (Your Love Is My Home, I am Your Own), cool blues (Grace for Granted), light-hearted pop-rock (Greater is He), and inspirational praise and worship (I've Been Redeemed). The tune "Unto Thy Name" defies description, fusing bluesy rock and roll with gospel soul, and featuring an eye-popping horns arrangement reminiscent of "Sir Duke". Brought together by their love for God and their joy in music, this couple has found their heart's desire in each other as well.

The album features performances by a number of noted musicians, including Ron Huckaby of the George Strait Band, Mike Zeoli of Del Castillo, and Bucky Buchanan of the People's Choice, as well as Elena Trevino and Steve Sinsinig, who frequently appear on the internationally-syndicated inspirational television show, "The Awakening".
