Album Notes

Michael's song "Living Without Love" spends over sixteen weeks at number 1 on SoundClicks charts. Received a 10 out of 10 points in category "Music with Lyrics" in Great American Song Contest critique. "Beautiful Artistry, passion and performance."

Michael Peace, Singer/Songwriter and former member of "Filet of Sound" a Chicago based Show band, has recently found his music and songs popping up on web sites all around the world. The list is too long to print but a search on the web for "Michael Peace" will turn up hits in Australia, China, Germany, Japan, New Zeeland, UK and on and on.

His music crosses many genres but is primarily Pop, melodic, smooth and feel good music. He has control over a voice that can bring tears to your eyes and make you glad someone can still sing like that. He has been compared to Roy Orbison, Josh Groban and Clay Aiken and his musicianship on all the instruments is incredible.

He has been writing and recording songs as far back as the mid 60s. "Now with the introduction of the Web, my music is really starting to take off," Peace says. "In the past, my band was at the mercy of the major record labels and record companies. We cut an album at Chicago's Chess Studios and waited almost two years before it was released. By then the music was so outdated that Chess didn't even want to promote it. Today, I can write and record a new song, have it up on the Internet and watch it take off on the various online charts in just a few days. My fans can buy the CDs right online and never have to go to a store. I don't have to worry about marketing and distribution either. CDBaby does that for me."

One of the biggest changes brought about by the coming of digital music and the internet is that now songs have to be able to stand up on their own. Record Companies in the past could put out a CD with only two or three good songs and the whole CD sold. People have gotten smarter now. They only want the good stuff, the hits, not the "B" side songs or album cut songs. So now fans can buy exactly what they want. Michael's "The Night" CD is all "good stuff" not a "forget that" in the bunch.

"The Night", includes a song made popular by one of Michael's favorite new artists, American Idol's Mr. Clay Aiken. "This is the Night" by Michael, is a solid version of this song but you will really enjoy Peace's own pieces like: "Maybe It's The Moon", "Living Without Love", "Beyond This Night", and more.

Songs that ought to go classic

LIVING WITHOUT LOVE is one of those songs that ought to go classic. FORGIVE ME is another. When it comes to quality performance,Michael displays a consistency hard to match, from one album to another. THE NIGHT has to be considered one of his finest yet! That's saying a lot for an artist who hasn't put out anything bad yet, an artist who deserves to be recognized, not just by peers, but by everyone who loves good music. GOOD MUSIC SPEAKS FOR ITSELF, ALWAYS. That is what you will find on THE NIGHT!

This guy has true talent

Michael Peace is the real name of this artist. He is not the Christian Rap Artist from the early 90s but a guy who was born with the name. He was also born with some real musical talent, plays all his own instruments, writes his own songs and sings like an Angel. Every cut on "The Night" is a stand alone song that should be flying high on the charts but Michael is not getting as much promotion as he disserves. But judge for yourself, go to Walmart.com and search for Michael Peace in 88 Cent music downloads. Here you can find "The Night", "Peace of Christmas" and more CD titles by this artist. He rocks, he sings softly and he makes you cry. You will find lots of emotion and beautiful songs all of his own creation. Please give Mr. Peace a listen and fall in love with what you hear. I know you will. Kitty

Five stars is what I am sending to you Mr. Peace. This CD is fantastic. I followed your links to iTunes and downloaded them into my iPod. "Living without Love" is a littel sad but what a voice you made me feel it. "Forgive Me", great beat and vocals, "Midnight Caller" sounds like a stalker song but I know the idea behind it. "Beyond this Night" and "Maybe It's the Moon" are just plain HOT, GOOD lyrics, Melodies, Vocals, Harmonies etc. You have made a believer out of me. I will be looking for more of your songs in the future as I listen to the sounds of "THE NIGHT" FIVE STARS!!!!!!

I own a couple of Michaels cds... I believe him to be a truly talented artist. His style of music varies from song to song, which in my opinion is a strong point. Most artists tend to "max out" to a single style after a few tunes. If you havent taken time to listen to Peace, you are in fact missing out. Great vocals, harmonies, and interesting chord progressions are in store for you... I rate him and his unique style a 10..... OUToTUNE Music
